Wii Sports Resort Bundle to Include Two Motion Plus Devices
Wii Sports Resort will be getting a new package early next month that includes two Wii Motion Plus accessories. Joystiq reports that the new bundle will launch on October 12, and cost $59.99. It will sell alongside the current SKU that offers only one Motion Plus for $10 less. Considering a standalone accessory is $20 and many of the games in Resort are multiplayer focused, it seems like a good deal for those who haven't yet bitten on the game. The new package is said to be "while supplies last," but as a method of getting more Motion Plus devices into people's homes, Nintendo might keep it around for a while.
The game had an impressive debut for a partial month in the sales charts, and then managed to sell more the following month. We don't have the numbers for September, but it's likely to appear again, and then possibly see another bump in October thanks to the new package. Nintendo seems at the very least committed to making Motion Plus the de facto standard so developers can feel safe using it in games, and it they're well on their way.
